Firefly Cottage: Ground floor apartment with private entrance and bath
This 2-room ground floor apartment in our Guest House has a separate entrance, with electronic door lock, and has a private bath and nearly full kitchen, including refrigerator, range and microwave.
This lovely room is great for an extended stay, and nice and roomy for a weekend. It is spacious enough to run a rolling bed and/or futon for additional couch surfing if needed.
The concrete sinks, countertops and vanities were all made onsite. The trim is rough-cut lumber from a local sawmill, and the whole thing has grass rugs. This Pinterest-worthy room has some stories to tell, and we will be happy to tell them.
This is a lovely, unique room, with original artwork, evoking the farmhouse style.
Tree House Room: Secluded Loft with private entrance and bath
We call this room the “Tree house Room” because it is on the back side of the property, overlooking two acres of thick forest. There is a large deck area for sitting and enjoying nature. This is a quiet, private place with a separate entrance, and is up one flight of stairs.
There is a large deck, and an electronic lock.
This room has a pinterest-friendly hand-fabricated bed, with antique fixtures and a very comfortable memory foam mattress. There is a private bathroom with walk-in shower. There is also a lovely window seat that looks out over the water feature in the backyard.
We equipped both of the loft rooms with refrigerator and microwave, in the event you need “night breakfast” like some of us do.
The Nest: Loft with suspended bed, private entrance and bath.
We decorated this place for fun. The Nest takes on our country theme of a nice, quiet place to relax. The Swing Room has a queen sized bed that is suspended from the rafters. (There is a non-swinging option for those who like it a little less fun). Guests love this room, and it is featured in Pinterest.
We built hand-crafted countertops and sinks onsite and installed them in this lovely space. The Swing Room has a private bath with walk-in shower
Both of the upstairs lofts have microwaves and small refrigerators. Guests can always use one of the big refrigerators on the place as well.
